Guemes Island Planning Advisory Committee

The meeting was called to order at 6:37 PM by Vice Chair Allen Bush.
The agenda and March 8 Minutes were approved.

Treasurers Report: The Roz Glasser balance is $9,153.10 and the GIPAC general account balance is $9,160.35.

There was no public comment.

New Business/Updates
There was discussion of the March 31 meeting with County Commissioners, Jack Moore, Planning Director, Jason D”Avignon, Attorney, Erin Langley, Water Planner and Keith Higman, Health Department Director. County staff is planning to propose an amendment to SCC 14:24:330 to address our concerns about well drilling. There was also discussion of historical water quality data and the possibility that GIPAC can recruit interested citizens to test and report their water quality.

We could do this at our next annual meeting in conjunction with the USGS Aquifer Recharge Study report.
