Notice is hereby given that on July 21, 2020, the Hearing Examiner approved critical areas variance application PL19-0605 filed by Melvin and Deanna Elvebak. This request is to reduce the standard 150 foot buffer n a Category III wetland to 60 feet to allow for an addition to an existing cabin.

The proposed project is located within a portion of the property described as parcel number P46861.  The site address is 5406 Guemes Island Road, within a portion of Section 36, Township 36 North, Range 1 East, W.M., Skagit County WA.

The full application for this proposal is on file with PDS, and was reviewed under the provisions of Skagit County Code (SCC). This information is available to the public on request. A decision on the application was made within 120 days of the date the application was determined to be complete pursuant to SCC 14.06.210.

The applicant and/or party of record may appeal this decision to the Skagit County Hearing Examiner following the procedures of SCC 14.06.110(7) through 14.06.110(14). Parties with standing to appeal must submit the Notice of Appeal application and appeal fees to Planning and Development Services within 14 calendar days of the publication of this Notice pursuant to SCC 14.06.110.
