NOTICE OF DECISION

Notice is hereby given that on October 27, 2020, the Skagit County Board of Commissioners issued Resolution #R202000183, denying appeal #PL20-0344 submitted by Lowell Ashbach, Jr. regarding the Hearing Examiner’s decision on Critical Areas Variance Application #PL19-0605 for Melvin and Deanna Elvebak. The Board denied the appeal and affirmed the decision of the Hearing Examiner. The proposed project is located within the Rural Intermediate (RI) zoning/comprehensive plan designated area as indicated in the Skagit County Comprehensive Plan and associated maps. Located at 5406 Guemes Island Road within the NE ¼ of Section 36, Township 36 North, Range 1 East W.M., situated within Skagit County, Washington.

Appellant:  Lowell Ashbach, Jr., 5538 Guemes Island Road, Anacortes, WA 98221. 

Pursuant to Skagit County Code (SCC) 14.06.200, the Notice of Decision shall be forwarded to parties of record, the applicant, and other applicable parties of interest.

Pursuant to SCC 14.06.220 (Judicial Appeals) and RCW 36.70C, the applicant and/or a party of record may appeal the decision of the Board of County Commissioners to Superior Court.
