Notification of Development Application: Elvebak

Notice is hereby given that on October 18, 2019, Melvin and Deanna Elvebak filed a critical areas variance application to reduce the standard 150 foot buffer on a Category III wetland to approximately 60 feet to allow for expansion of the building footprint onsite. The existing cabin is located approximately 75 feet from the wetland edge.  The existing septic drainfield and reserve area are located between the home and the wetland.

The proposed project is located within a portion of the property described as parcel number P46861. The site is located at 5406 Guemes Island Road within the NE ¼ of Section 36, Township 36 North, Range 1 East, W.M.

The full application for this proposal is on file with Skagit County Planning and Development Services (PDS), and will be reviewed under the provisions of Skagit County Code (SCC). This information is available to the public on request. Other permits that may be necessary in the development of the project but are not included in this application include: floodplain development permit, building permit.

A decision on the application will be made within 120 days of the date the application is determined to be complete pursuant to SCC 14.06.210.

Any person desiring to comment on or to be notified of the decision on this application should notify PDS in writing within fifteen days of the date of publication of this notice. Failure to respond within the comment period could result in loss of the right to appeal.
