Public Meeting Regarding Island Groundwater Issues
GIPAC is hosting a community meeting on Thursday, March 26th to review island groundwater concerns and the seawater intrusion issue. All islanders are invited to attend the meeting from 5-7 pm at the Community Hall.
Representatives from the Skagit County Health and Planning Departments and the County Geohydrologist will be on hand to talk about the seawater intrusion issue and present a draft update of the County's seawater intrusion policy (SIP), which regulates the drilling, design and operation of new wells on the island.
Come learn about how to protect our aquifer and give the County input on the new SIP!
