During 6th Street Improvement Project, March 8 to May 12.

The City of Anacortes will begin construction of the 6th Street Improvement Project on Monday, March 8. The work, which is funded by a federal ARRA grant, includes the construction of new curb, gutter, sidewalk, storm drainage, and pavement between I Avenue and K Avenue, and new sidewalk on the south side of the street between K Avenue and O Avenue. 

The street will be closed between L Avenue and I Avenue on Tuesday, March 9. A detour moving traffic to 8th Street between those blocks will be established for the duration of the project.
