The Misadventures of “Wild Bill” Mitchell

A Fly'n Pit Stop

Please join the Guemes Island Historical Society on Monday, May 14th when celebrated artist and lifelong resident of Anacortes and Guemes Island, “Wild Bill Mitchell” recalls the past and present of life in this community. Bill has major ties to Guemes Island through his Grandfather, Bill Bessner, an early ferry owner and captain serving Guemes Island. Perhaps best known for his wonderful murals depicting scenes and characters of Anacortes, Wild Bill is also an accomplished story teller and area historian. Don't miss the chance to hear of his deeds of daring do, many close calls, miraculous escapes and fish stories you wont believe!

Our program begins at 7pm at the Guemes Island Church on Monday May 14th . Our regularly scheduled business meeting will follow the presentation. All are welcome to attend. For more information please email or phone Tom Deach at 360-708-2582.
